My views, living in Bklyn.
Brooklyn in Color
I was lucky enough to spend fall 2022 living in New York City. Specifically, I lived in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn with about 15 of, what are now, my best friends. We lived in an 11-story apartment, one subway stop from Manhattan, with a view of FiDi and the Brooklyn Bridge — not too shabby.
New York is fun to photograph. Constant bustle, all kinds of people, iconic cityscapes. You could spend a lifetime shooting there and never run out of inspiration or subject material. I have more photos from these four months than I can count — black and white and color. However, I’m drawn to the rawness of monochrome. It accentuates the form and composition of a photograph without the distraction of color. These are some of my favorite grayscale images I took in Brooklyn. Hope you enjoy.
